HOW TO GET CÁCERES

Cáceres is a city far from the main destinations in Spain but it is not difficult to reach it. The distance from Madrid to Cáceres is 300 km. Once you arrive at the airport in Madrid you have different ways to get to Cáceres.

BY PLANE

If you are arriving on June 4th or 5th and you can sync the flight from your origin to the ones landing in Badajoz, this is the best choice. BADAJOZ is a small airport near Cáceres with a daily Madrid-Badajoz flight operated by Air Nostrum-Iberia . You can see the location of the airport in the following URL. ICWE 2018 organization will charter a shuttle bus from the airport to the hotels in Cáceres on Monday, June 4th and Tuesday, June 5th, for those attendees wishing to use this mean of transport. The bus ride will take around 1h20m.

You can buy online tickets for the flight at AIR NOSTRUM's website. Select "Madrid (MAD), Spain" as origin and "Badajoz (BJZ), Spain" as destination.

The timetable for Madrid-Badajoz flights during the week is as follows:

Day Departure Time Departure Terminal Arrival time
June 4th 16:20 Terminal T4 17:25
June 5th 12:15 Terminal T4 13:20
June 6th 12:20 Terminal T4 13:25
June 7th 08:55 Terminal T4 10:00
June 8th 08:55 Terminal T4 10:00

Please note that shuttle busses will only be available on Monday and Tuesday. If you plan to arrive on another day, you must take care of the transportation to Cáceres. In that case, the best choices are to rent a car at the airport or take a taxi. If this is your case, do not hesitate to request more information by sending an email to icwe2018@unex.es.

Also, please note that, unfortunately, the flights mentioned are operated with small aircrafts. The availability of tickets is limited. Therefore, if you plan to use this way we suggest that you make the purchase of your tickets as soon as possible.
